The signature smoky flavour may come from it being one of the last remaining distilleries to malt its barley, or it could be the peat kilns, in use since 1840, that use a low temperature for the cold smoking process. WHAT MAKES LAPHROAIG SPECIAL?

Over two centuries later, this substantial distillery boasts seven stills and their original kilns still burn as bright as their love for making our world-famous whisky.

Sweet and smooth, Oak Select is a blend of hand-selected whiskies aged in Oloroso sherry butts, first-fill ex-Bourbon quarter casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads and virgin American oak barrel at different levels of maturation.  Sip neat or over ice. ​ ABV 43%
